Stacy Lynch has been a studio director/manager in the Dutchess County area for the past ten years and a dance teacher for over 20 years.  She is a graduate of Vassar College where she received her degree in Drama with a concentration in Dance and Elementary Education.

Stacy has been fortunate to work in many areas of the performing arts throughout her career.  She was a member of the Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre, held various modeling jobs including print work and runway, won several roles in film and has performed on such stages as the Bardavon Theatre, Eisenhower Hall, the Dutchess County Fair Grandstand and represented New York State at the World’s Fair Stage in Seville, Spain. 

As a choreographer she has been the Artistic Director of the Mid-Hudson Ballet Company, the Children’s Coordinator for the Moscow Ballet’s “Great Russian Nutcracker”, as well as choreographer for shows at Disney, Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruise Lines, County Players and the West Point Military Band.  She has received numerous awards for choreography including the Nexstar Talent Competition’s Entertainment Award as well as their Choreography Award.  Her choreography has yielded top honors and scores at various competitions including Starbound, DanceXplosion and Nexstar, to name a few.

It is Stacy’s mission to make Dutchess County Performing Arts Center a home for students who have a passion for the performing arts, whether they dream of becoming professional actors and dancers or just enjoy recreational classes.  It is her hope that studying the arts will foster a sense of self-confidence and discipline that will enable students to apply to their everyday life.
